Main Event: Jon Jones (-285) vs. Alexander Gustafsson (+225)
The last time Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson faced off, roughly a year-and-a-half ago, it was the former who emerged with the win. Though many believed Gustafsson might’ve had him, the judges granted Jones a unanimous victory.
The odds last time around, however, were even more in favor of Jones, together with Gustafsson putting everywhere between +800 and +1000 lines. That they’re so close now speaks to how well he cried in the first meeting, while also nodding towards how much he’s improved his fast-twitch endurance.
Nevertheless, Jones, who hasn’t fought 17 weeks, has mostly dominated everybody he has come across from the Octagon. This battle should take more gas than he’s accustomed to consuming up, but he should still pull it out and win the light heavyweight belt.
